Project Statement / Goal | Define the core idea of your website. What is this about? What’s the problem you’re trying to solve or opportunity you are trying to create? Think elevator pitch. |
Your motivation, drive, and/or purpose | Why are you doing this project? What are you discovering here? What questions are you asking? What are you exploring? |
Target Audience | Who is this website for? Please note that everyone is not a valid answer. Target is the key word here. Why will people come to your site? |
Competitive Analysis | What sites are similar to yours and how will yours be different? How will your site be positioned (branding) and differentiated (market and competitors or like works)?) |
Content Inventory | Content is King! What types of content will your site have? Be specific. What text do you need? What images do you need? What videos do you need? Identify all with file names, titles, or subject matter. |
Technical Requirements /Functionality | What are the tech requirements / functionality of your site? |
Creative Brief | What will be the look and feel of your site, including, but not limited to, stylistic influences, color, typography? |
Future Iterations | Discuss any content, tech, or creative requirements you’d like to add to your site during future iterations. |
Risks | What are your risks of failure? (lack of tech, time, knowledge, etc.) |
